Welcome to Rest & Rise Bakery! Rest & Rise is a small bakery in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I'm Sue, owner and chief baker. I am a mother, veteran, gardener, crafter and advocate of deep, caring community. My love for baking goes back as far as I can remember. My first "bakery" business was 30+ years ago; making english muffins and cinnamon rolls with my sister to sell at my parents office. Since then I have always managed to find some way or another to create in the kitchen. I love working with different doughs and ingredients to see what beautiful and delicious things I can create from them. It is truly a dream come true to be able to share this passion with the community. Each week I make a variety of artisan breads and baked goods for pre-order. Our Bread and Ingredients

We believe that creating our baked goods with real, whole-food ingredients makes better tasting bread that is better for our bodies. We source as many of our ingredients as possible fresh from our local community and businesses. Our basil? Grown fresh right here at Rest & Rise! Hazelnuts, rosemary, vanilla, berries, potatoes? All locally sourced in season. What we can't source locally, we still make sure it is top quality. Our breads don't last on the counter as long as store bought bread. That is because there are absolutely no preservatives, unnecessary additives or artificial ingredients in any of our recipes.  So, though you may need to eat it up or freeze it faster than store bought, you can feel good about what you are putting into your body when you eat our bread. We think that is a pretty good trade-off.

How Ordering Works

Currently, we have one main bake day each week and operate by pre-order.

You can sign up directly on our bake-day shop page (see link button below) to receive email and/or text alerts when the next bake day has been posted and ordering is open.

You can also join our mailing list at the bottom of this site. You will receive a weekly email, 5 days prior to bake day, letting you know what is on the menu that week with a link to order.

The pick-up window for orders is late afternoon and evening of Bake Day. If you need accommodations on the pick-up time for your order, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Payment

We accept card, cash or Venmo.

* Special Orders*

We do accept special orders for events or larger quantity requests. Please email us with the specifics of your order and the date/time you will need it by. At least one week advance notice will increase the chance that we can fulfill  your requests.
